Author-illustrator husband and wife team Jeff and Natalie Inwood create gentle and comical rhyming books for children.

Jeff loves taking a silly, quirky, or unusual idea and turning it into a children's story. He typically gets his ideas when he's doing something else, like travelling on a train or walking dogs on a beach, and then it's a case of scrambling to find a scrap of paper and pen or messaging himself on his mobile phone before the idea disappears. Children see the world differently from grown ups, says Jeff, so you have to reimagine yourself as a child and see where a story takes you. Natalie was originally an illustrator with pen and ink, but now she's a digital illustrator with a digital tablet and huge computer screens across her office desk that look like something out of NASA. Together, they bounce ideas back and forth to see whether Jeff has to create a rhyming story from one of Natalie's crazy ideas or whether Natalie has to illustrate one of Jeff's equally crazy ideas. Aimed at 1-5 year olds, their rhyming stories, numbers, and ABC books are designed to entertain children and grown ups alike.
